Above Pont Fadog
Judith Harrison
Above Pont Fadog
The original route from Harlech to London crossed the Afron Ysgethin at Pont Scethin, in a desolate area with rough marshy terrain where progress was often slow and travellers were frequently accosted by thieves. In the 1770’s a new crossing, Pont Fadog, was constructed just above Tal y Bont. The pathillustrated in the picture is part of the network of
ancient tracks above Dyffryn Ardudwy and connects Pont Fadog with Pont Scethin.
