St. Melangell
St Melangell was a female saint from the 7th Century who came to live in central Wales on the edge of the Berwyn Mountains and founded a religious community. It is said that she hid a hare in the folds of her dress to save it from the hounds of Prince Brockwel. The church remains a site of pilgrimage today.
