Graeme Storey

Graeme qualified with an Honours Degree in Fine Art from Sunderland Polytechnic in 1979 then went on to train in the conservation of works of art on paper. Since 1981 Graeme has been a professional paper conservator and since 1990 has been a partner in Britton and Storey working across the UK for public and private collections. During this time he has continued to paint, mainly in watercolour and always with an emphasis on the choice of paper.
His professional career has given him a love of the variety of papers used historically and currently by artists, with the subtle differences in paper types and the effects age and use can have on them. This together with Graeme’s love of the landscape, energy and weather guides his artistic practice.
