Katy Jones

​Katy Jones has been working as an artist since 2003, during which time she has exhibited and sold work internationally, as well as illustrating a number of books, licensing artwork and running art workshops.

Katy’s artwork is informed and inspired by stories, especially folk tales, fairy tales and myths. Walking the Taith Ardudwy has been an opportunity for her to explore locations which are particularly rich in legendary associations. She also found herself drawn to very small
scale details of the landscape: moss, lichens and stony textures. Working mostly in watercolour, she has produced a body of work which includes both imaginative landscapes and portrayals of the area’s tiniest natural features.
