Piera Cirefice is a freelance Illustrator based in mid Wales with a BA(Hons) degree in Illustration from Falmouth University.  Having grown up at the foothills of the Mourne Mountains the beauty of the outdoors fuels her work, with travel reportage Illustration at the heart of her practice. Combining a love of hillwalking with traditional en plein air watercolour painting and her illustration practice, Piera aims to document the landscape and its flora and fauna, as well as capture the experience of being out in the living landscape. These plein air studies have provided an invaluable foundation to her practice, as well as helping inform her Illustrated location ranges. From the Mournes to the Cambrian Mts, the wild landscapes of the UK and island of Ireland are a continuous source of inspiration for Piera!

The work for this exhibition took me along the routes in-between, where the dramatic mountains of Eryri sweep down to meet the coastline along Llandanwg beach, and Harlech. Inspired by the heightened grandeur of this mountain-scape, these limited edition fine-art giclée prints capture the panoramic views of the mountains of Eryri and the trail hugging the Welsh coastline.
