Branwen was a Welsh princess from Harlech. In the sculpture she is depicted releasing a starling to inform her brother Bendigeidfran that she needs his help / Roedd Branwen yn dywysoges Gymreig o Harlech. Yn y cerflun mae hi wedi'i darlunio'n rhyddhau drudwy i hysbysu ei brawd Bendigeidfran ei bod hi angen ei help.
