Bryn Cader Faner is an impressive Bronze Age burial cairn, especially when approached from the south on the Taith Ardudwy. Tt is in an area full of ancient cairns and settlements and is possibly situated on an ancient trackway from the sea into the mountains. The centre of the circle of stones was thought to contain a cyst or grave but was disturbed and the structure destroyed by Victorian treasure hunters.
