Iain is a multi-disciplinary artist who combines landscape and landmarks with stylised designs and historical reference. His practice encompasses printmaking, ceramics, and mixed-media installations. He holds an MA in Contemporary Art and Archaeology, and has shown work previously at Oriel Tŷ Meirion, at the RCA in Conwy, in Orkney, and in Cheshire.

Iain's work combines a love of the outdoors, of archaeology, and an affinity for the spirit of place – he is always thinking about the generations of people who have lived in and travelled through the places he visits. Running the Taith Ardudwy was one of Iain’s first experiences of Meirionnydd, a place that he returns to again and again, and has inspired his work for a number of years.

This year, Iain will undertake a residency at Oriel Tŷ Meirion, capturing more inspiration and producing work in response to the landscapes of the Taith Ardudwy.
